Billing by case number for legal firms

IPM Feature for Legal Firms

As a user, I need to be able to bill for printing not just by user but according to a specific case #.

• DB/Repository for accounts to be billed

• Prompt for who to bill

• Data field to be send/included in print job

• Direct integration w/backend system

• Could the required accounting data be part of the file name?

Use case: When a job is submitted to print, there may a prompt to the user to enter the case # as data to be included with the job (OR require the case # to be included as part of the file name). The job is sent to a print queue and as the job is processed, the job and processing data placed in a job log and can be retrieved and processed for billing according to the case #.
